My sister & niece saw our appearance on Dr. Keith and called me not long after. My niece’s Sweet 16 party was coming up, you see, & she wanted us to know that Betty would be more than welcome at her party.
& My niece is a very very cool person. Last night was her party, and it was amazing to see all the people who had gathered – friends & family, friends of family, etc. – to celebrate with her. She was graceful and gracious and funny and sweet. Not that I’m at all surprised – she’s always been a smart, creative, fun kid – but it is something to see the person you once thought of as a “kid” become a really remarkable person.
