I came across an old article in Salon about Tom of Finland and I thought perhaps some of you didn’t know how it came to be that (male) homosexuals are sometimes assumed to be macho. I came to know Tom of Finland‘s art because the infamous Sex boutique sold (amongst other things) a t-shirt of his gay cowboys drawing, which was worn by Johnny Rotten and of course by Adam Ant.
