Canada’s ENDA

Canada’s version of ENDA – which adds both ‘gender identity’ and ‘gender expression’ has passed the House of Commons, and next it will need to pass the Senate.

    Since there is a chance of a snap election in the spring, it is essential that the legislation clear the Senate quickly; otherwise, the bill will die and have to be started from scratch in a new Parliament. PSAC has created a handy form for Canadians who want to write to senators on this issue (when you fill in your postal code, it automatically adds the names and emails of senators in your province, and the name of your MP).
