Betty & I are off for a brief visit to see friends in Madison, which we haven’t yet seen. We’re both excited, despite the 3-hour drive and the single digit temperatures.

Maybe with the current conditions it will be 3 hours, but normally it’s not much over 2 hours.
It’s nice and quiet in the campus area right now, perfect for enjoying State Street.
actually, the 3 hours is to our friends’ place outside Madison.

i was hoping i’d run into you, but i was stuck inside at work. if you had stopped in at the UW Credit Union at the bottom of State to use the ATM I would have definitely said hello. (which, if you’re still in town, you should do– we’re open until 5:30!)
Madison! Seems like everyone I know that’s been to Madison has a story that starts like “Man, I got SO wasted down in Madison one time.”
