I dunno how they manage, tbh. :P little did I know after transition. . . the #1 question we get asked by 5YO to adults is: "Which one of you carried the baby?" They so wanna' put the same-sex thing in boxes they can understand, I guess. :P Your experience sounds similar to ours. . . being seen as a same sex couple is just easier.
