A priority? That's just weird. Like, talk-to-your-therapist-about-this weird. I think the great majority of people we'd describe as "trans-hostile" don't actually want to expend time hunting down rights we already have, they just dislike the idea of making any active accommodation. Michigan has a decent policy on trans ID changes which has been in term for a while. He's just being an extremist picking out the most offensive topic to his community that he can find that still sounds new and interesting. Guess he didn't want to try the good o'l abortion act.
