Did you fail to mention Bono on purpose? :)

Also George Michael just before Simon Le Bon at the beginning. And the lovely Jody Watley in the chorus.

Thanks for the video. I hear this song on the radio every year, but I haven't see the video in a long time. Ever seen the "making of" video? Very cool.

Whatever happened to Paul Young?!

He put out a decent album back in the mid-90's but that was the last I've heard of him. No Parlez was reissued as a 2 disc for the British market. Despite "Every Time You Go Away", they always liked Paul Young better across the pond than we do over here. I had forgotten how big of a part he had in this song.

Does Paul Weller ever look healthy?

Not particularly! But he still makes terrific music.

Simon LeBon is still a pretentious clod. IMHO, of course.

Particularly, and he no longer makes terrific music.

Minor players: Marilyn, Jon from Culture Club, the ladies of Bananrama, Jodi Watley. Can anyone name any of the others?

Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet on guitar, John Taylor of Duran Duran on bass. At the 1:57 mark, isn't that Glenn Gregory of Heaven 17??? Yes, I think it is and at 2:05 he is standing next to Midge Ure of Ultravox (who with Bob Geldof spearheaded this project). 2:53 mark, far right, dude from Status Quo I think (never liked that band). And of couse Phil Collins is fairly prominent as well.

Actually, I’m amazed at how many of these people still have careers.

For the most part that's a good thing.

It still makes Betty cry (in a good way).

Awwwww sweeeet!!! I do love the song as well. Band Aid 20 was interesting but it doesn't hold a candle to the original.
