Colage has a specific subsection for trans parents: http://www.colage.org/programs/trans/

Included is a guide for people approaching transition.

If any readers are in the Bay Area, there is a Trans Parent support group sponsored by Our Family Coalition. It's on the third Saturday of every month at the SFLGBT Community Center on Market (at Octavia) from 10am-noon. The group has been going on for almost two years.

Some more resources are here, under the broader umbrella of trans families, inclusiveness, and trans youth:
http://www.genderspectrum.org/index.htm

They are a bit limited for addressing "coming out to your kids/family", but recommended.

Helen,

Transfamily in Cleveland is not a new organization, they do have e-groups that support children of trans-parents. They've had some organizational difficulties lately and only recently regained control of their web address.
