Is the Pope?

Maybe it’s growing up in Chicago, but if there’s any aspect of Catholicism I think politicians should pay attention to, it’s the social justice stuff. It certainly made me a better person, & I’m glad my parents raised me with these ideas.



I don’t think it’s necessarily exclusive to the capital C, but the small c as well. At least also for Episcopalians and Lutherans, if not most/all of the catholic communion.
For all I’d be unlikely to join a Catholic congregation, I appreciate that there are huge numbers of Catholics who get that. Genuine, active, living, physically manifest compassion, not words.
There is, after all, precisely one mention of health-care funding in the Bible: the Good Samaritan parable. Which was Jesus’ answer to the question, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
That’s the problem with Jesus. He’s so out of touch with Christian values.
