It's easy to hope that it's a step in the the final discrediting and sidelining of the movement (followed by the reappearance of a sane conservative movement, even?) Then again, maybe throwing toddler tantrums is the future of American politics (dear God no). We'll see. There’s a large subset of right-wingers who seem to be acting out their frustration at the collapse of Republican political power in every way they can imagine, rational or not. I know plenty of conservative parents who don't have a problem with the President of the United States addressing school children. The ones who do mind seem to have a different outlook. Almost as if it's okay not to listen because he's the Black President of the United States and therefore commands less respect.
