Her story suggests quite correctly that there are plenty of TG folks who have worn or who are currently wearing a uniform. I too am a retired Airborne Ranger who spent twenty-six years in service to my country. My personal circumstances don't permit me to follow in Diane's footsteps, but her victory heartens me nonetheless. The military is inching closer to the time when don't ask don't tell will be in our rear-view mirrors, and that will be a truly glorious day. I am delighted for Ms. Schroer.
