Is it Federal aide that was denied? Were they incorporated? Did they pay taxes or submit a non profit return? Did they own any specific properties, not just real estate? They need a good lawyer. Businesses of any kind should get disaster aid. So Mom & Pop can't get their lemonade stand back up, or convenience store? A theatre is a business like anything else, and it contributes to the local economy. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but this makes me mad. Rebuilding a community means rebuilding things like churches, theatres, sno-cone shacks, hot dog stands, video stores, musician repair services, et al... *sigh. That’s bullshit.
