Boylan Goes to High School

Posted by – September 13, 2007

It turns out that Jennifer Finney Boylan’s She’s Not There is on the recommended reading list for 10th graders at Dana Hall School of Wellesley, MA. (News courtesy Vickie Davis’ blog.)

Way to go, Jenny Boylan. Her next book, I’m Looking Through You, is out next year. Keep an eye peeled her this fall/winter for a Five Questions With… interview with Boylan about the new book.

Actually, I know my niece’s school in Illinois had “She’s Not There” on their recommended reading list last year (in fact, my niece was reading it over Thanksgiving).

    You’ve come a long way, baby…

I look forward to the day when schools no longer ban books from their libraries. Having Jenny’s book on the reading list is an indicator of just how far some schools have come.

I’ve given that book to several people to read.

You’ve just inspired me to give it to my niece as well.
