Lucky Number 13

Betty and I have become aunts today for the 13th time, with the birth of our 3rd nephew.  Four are on her side (including today’s), the other nine on mine.

& People wonder why we don’t want children of our own; we can’t afford birthdays and Christmas and graduation and baptisms as is.

  1. Congratulations! What a difference from my family: my son and I were just talking the other day about how weird it seems to him that he not only is an only child, but also has zero first cousins and is the only grandchild of his four grandparents — since none of his two aunts and one uncle ever had kids.
