I am not big on the Olympics, by any stretch, but Beauty & the Geek isn’t on this week, so Betty & I are catching some of the Women’s Figure Skating, and I have to say that I’m very impressed with these pantsuit/bodystocking outfits. Not because they’re sexy (or not only because they’re sexy) but because I didn’t know that had happened – I thought it was all about the short skirts and booty hang.
I’m pleased to see it. I find them sexier than the dorky skirts – just my opinion – because they really do show off what fantastic, strong, graceful bodies these women have.

They recently changed the rules to allow them.
You know, of course, that there is no such thing as “Women’s Figure Skating.” It is, sigh, “Ladies’ Figure Skating.”
Myself, I prefer Ice Dancing.
When I was in 6th grade (roughly speaking) I almost failed a skating test (same organization that does the olympics) because I did not wear a skirt (I found one to borrow at the last moment). Debbie Thomas was almost disqualified from the Olympics several years ago for not wearing a skirt (she wanted to wear a pants outfit). This is a VERY big thing for that organization.
I too prefer Ice Dancing. In part because, compared to pairs, the women can have larger bodies. But, alas, it wasn’t available in my part of the world back when I skated.
It’s about time they changed the rules. Definitely much better looking and more practical.
